Working Copy was the best Git client and it works well with Textastic. Working Copy acts as an iOS 8 document provider, so that it appears as a location in the document picker next to iCloud Drive. Although there is one competitor on iPadOS with offline typesetting capabilities, namely Texpad, TeX Writer excels in almost every way. Textastic for Mac is the perfect desktop companion to the popular iOS code editor. As far as the editor goes, Textastic is the best IDE I've used (for iPhone & iPad), but my workflow was still considerably slower than on a Macbook or iMac.
